Hilo

Cami and I were lucky enough to make it back to celebrate Quinn's huge first birthday party on Oahu. This was a pretty last minute, spontaneous trip for me but going along with my 2012 resolution to 'live a little' - I decided to seize the chance that everything fell into place and enjoy spending time with the Forsters and Warmans! Spence and Li held down the fort back home because we didn't want to take Spence out of school...and then as Murphy's Law has it, they had record snow and his school was closed all week! So, I surely didn't send any tropical pictures to them while we were enjoying the hawaiian sun and warmth!

We were able to spend half of the time in Hilo where it was a bit voggy but relaxing.

Went to Hilo Bay Cafe to catch up with Jenn.

We didn't have time to make it to the beach so 2Dad took us on a quick beach cruise before our flight to Oahu.

One sisterly duty was to make Quinn's picture board - I spent 6 straight hours the day before the party hunched over making it!

Overall, Cami and I had a fabulous vacation. She got to know her cousins better and slumbered with them each nite. We completely missed all of the Seattle snow which made us (me) appreciate our time in Hawaii even more. I didn't realize how much I needed to take a break from work and from the cold and really be with my little girl. Cami is a super traveler and a super daughter, we balance each other perfectly. I will remember this girl's trip forever.
